Sandrine Diribe is a 19 years old upper sixth science student of Government Bilingual High School Down Town Bamenda.
She is a child advocate against rape, a gender awareness raiser and youth trainer in the North West region of Cameroon. Inspired from her story, she was sexually assaulted from the age of 8 to 10 by 4 different perpetrators (sadly one of them was her step father) and escaped attacks from three other men in her neighborhood here in Bamenda. Rape being one of the chains that greatly affected her childhood, Sandrine lost her esteem, became more isolated, guilty and was traumatized until the age of 16 when she finally mustered the courage to open up about her pain and topic that is considered sensitive or taboo to talk about. She now works with the aim of preventing other children from being raped through sensitization in schools and helping victims overcome the trauma by connecting them to counselors here in Cameroon. She aspires to be a Diplomat and work with United Nations. Her biggest dream is becoming President of her country Cameroon
